Everything was quiet and peaceful in Gondor after the days of the Ring War and the King reunited all the people of Middle-earth. Sauron's servants also hided in secret in the mountains and as the royal army became larger, they did not even want to disturb the peace.
So it came that more and more new travellers from distant lands, like Minhiriath or Forlindon, came and wanted to visit King Elessar and the wonderful city of Minas Tirith. Because everybody was faszinated by this breathtaking view ,from the inner courtyard, over Gondor and a new King on the thrown of Gondor was something special for there had not been one since 2050 in the thirth age.
In these times Aragorn, as him friends call, was very busy with royal duties and so he did not have a lot time for his visitors. The reunited Kingdom did not exist so long and he had to send word to all the different peoples of Arnor and Gondor.
When a family from Minhiriath came to the City of Kings, Aragorn was resting in the Crown room and so they could see him. The family walked through the hall, which leaded to the room of Aragorn's writer, and after some formalities they entered into the Crown room where the King was sitting on his throne and welcoming the incoming visitors. According to this wonderful sight each member of the family A'Faron thought the journey was worth it and that they would rest here for some time.
Suddenly the youngest child Elenna ran towards the throne and away from her family who was slowly walking behind her. There she stood with big eyes and an open mouth staring at the King. From behind her father cried: "Elenna, come back! Do not disturb the King!" but she was too faszinated to move.This view she hab never hab and all the jewels, statues of old and colors amazed her even more. Then Elessar stood up, smiled at the father and walked slowly to the little girl.
"I welcome you here in Minas Tirith and I hope you have a good abidance here." He said and looked down to Elenna who was still standing there. All of the A'Faron's came closer to the throne and the father replied the King's greetings.
Since now Elenna has not recognized the other woman next to the Elessar - This must be Queen Arwen. Her mother has told her something about the royal family and how they looked like. But Arwen was more beautiful than words can express. Even more impressed the little girl ran to the King to ask him something. Her father has warned her but Aragorn did not mind. He kneeled down next to Elenna and whispered something in his ear which only he could understand. Then he answered her some sentences and suddenly Elenna's cheeks turned a little red. She looked with her keen green eyes into Aragorn's who was so amused by this little guest. Also Arwen followed the scene with the most intrest she could offer for now the days have been very busy and exhausting. She has always liked how good Estel can come along with children - He simply loved them. And with Elenna it was the same - Love at first sight.
After a break her father disturbed the getting to know of both and asked Aragorn if they could have a guiding through Minas Tirith.
"Of course, you can. My guide will show you everything important." He said and stood up. The family said thanks and his little new friend had to go. With a loud demand her father called her back and she had to follow. Elenna smiled sadly, turned back and left the King behind. The A'Faron's left the Crown room and Arwen stood up and walked next to Aragorn.
"You liked her, didn't you?" she said and grinned. Estel looked at her and came a bit closer.
"Yes, you are right. She really amazed me." He answered and gave his beloved wife a sweet kiss. There was still so much love in their relationship that they were supposted to be the happiest couple in Minas Tirith.
Then Arwen said curriously: "I only want to know... What did she tell you?" Aragorn smiled and just replied: "That is a secret, my love..." he grinned at her and went back to his throne to sit down. Being left behind she stood there and glanced at her husband. Sometimes she thought Estel was still a child and his behavior only provided her believe.
"Good then." She answered and went also back to her seat. For they have been so long together now, Aragorn always could surprise her.
